Mini Piling in Hyde
Mini piling is a construction technique that is used for the purpose of underpinning and where there is restricted access. The technique is also used to create foundations for a wide variety of different structures. This is something that is especially useful at those locations where there is difficult or restricted access or where there is environmental sensitivity. The installing of mini piles is done by using specific drilling, impact driving and/or screwing machinery.
The piles are steel tubes that can range in size between 100mm and 305mm diameters. The rigs used to perform mini piling can work in compact sites that are subject to either width and/or height restrictions.
When is Mini Piling needed?
There are advantages to using mini piling in several situations. For instance, where it needs to be done in a confined space, mini piling is the perfect solution as the equipment used is so smaller in comparison to what’s used for other types of piling. The construction technique is also good for urban areas due to the fact that it produces less noise and fewer vibrations, whilst making building foundations that are secure.
Bottom Driven Piles
This is a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution in comparison to other construction techniques for creating foundations at it uses a lot less concrete. It produces no spoil and so it is perfect for use in areas with contaminated ground.
This is also used in those areas where there are restrictions due to poor ground conditions, where traditional foundations are just not practical.
This construction technique sees a steel tube driven deep into the ground (somewhere between 2m and 6m) with an internal drop hammer. Once done, the tubes are then filled up with concrete.
We provide a range of piling solutions in and around the Hyde area.
