Mini Piling in Wirral

Mini piling is a process that uses a narrower diameter than the more traditional piling methods. As a result, they are light and inexpensive, whilst still having the strength to be able to support very heavy loads.

The process sees a long hollow metal shaft either drilled or screwed deep into the Earth and then filled in with concrete in order to form the pile – the soil is supported by the shaft. With mini piling, no further support is required, even where the soil is loose or weak.

When is Mini Piling needed?

Mini piling is ideal for use on those building sites where headroom is limited. Where this is the case, sectional auger mini piles are used. This process involves drilling down and putting in numerous flight sections. These can be left in place or removed when the concrete is poured in, depending on the stability of the soil.

Bottom Driven Piles

Bottom driven piling involves the use of an internal drop hammer to drive a closed end thin wall metal casing into the ground to create stable foundations for a structure. After completion, the weight of the drop hammer is removed, a reinforcement is put in place and the casing is filled up with concrete.
