Mini Piling in Warrington

Mini piling is often used for underpinning and restricted access. It can also be used for the purpose of creating foundations for a variety of structure types. Mini piling is especially useful at locations with difficult and/or restricted access or with environmental sensitivity. Installation of mini piles is achieved using specialist drilling, impact driving or screwing machinery.

Mini piles can be steel driven tubes that range in size from 100mm – 305mm diameter, or bored cast in place concrete from 300mm – 600mm diameter. Mini piling rigs are able to work in sites subject to width and height restrictions (sometimes as low as 2.3m in height).

When is Mini Piling needed?

Mini piling has advantages in many situations. This includes those cases where it needs to be carried out in a confined space, since the equipment required is much smaller than what’s needed for other types of piling. It’s also good for built-up places as it causes much less noise and vibrations, while still producing foundations that are secure.

Bottom Driven Piles

Bottom driven piles are a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution that require much less concrete than other solutions. It is a displacement technique that produces no spoil, makes it ideal for use in contaminated ground.

Driven piles are usually used in those areas that are restricted on the basis of poor ground conditions, where regular deep foundations are just not practical.

The process involves a steel tube being driven into the ground between 2m – 6m with a large internal drop hammer directly onto a concrete plug. Once this has been done, they are filled with concrete.

We provide a range of piling solutions in and around the Warrington area.
