Mini Piling in Rochdale

Mini piling is a useful process in those situations where the ground conditions are not suitable for foundations to be laid. The process is one that sees steel casings driven or screwed into the ground and then filled with concrete to form the piles. The diameter of the piles, their layout, and the number required is determined by a structural engineer. There are a several factors to consider when working this out. What access there is, what type of structure is being built, and the general condition of the ground being built on all need to be considered. The condition and type of ground also have a direct impact on the depth of the piles.

When is Mini Piling needed?

Where a structure already has piled foundations, extensions or additions to it should have the same footings. This type of foundations are great for when there are tree roots or underground services (e.g. water mains) below the structure being built. This is because it will prevent damage from being sustained. They’re also a great for eliminating subsidence whilst, at the same time, making the structure much more secure.

Bottom Driven Piles

These are used in the construction business to create foundations and to give support to structures. Driven driven piles let heavy loads to be transferred to differing levels of rock and soil which are suitable for the purpose of construction.

Additionally, they can be used for various buildings and structures in order to provide support. They are a very cost effective solution for creating deep foundations. Driven piles can also be used with retaining walls, anchorage structures, and embankments.

Foundations which are considered as piled need to be more than 3 times longer than what they are wide. Driven piles are long columns that are made out of a preformed material with where the size and shape is already predetermined. These piles can be put into the ground via hammering, pushing and/or vibrating. Sometimes the ground has to be pre drilled so that they can reach the required depth.
