Mini Piling in Crewe
Mini piling is something that is used for underpinning and for restricted access. It is used to create foundations for various structures. Mini piling is useful at those locations where there is restricted access or where there is environmental sensitivity. Mini piling is done using specialist drilling, impact driving and screwing machinery.
Mini piles are metal casings that range from 100mm to 305mm in diameter. Mini piling rigs can work on those sites that are subject to particular width and/or height restrictions.
When is Mini Piling needed?
There are many situations where it is advantageous to use mini piling. These includes when work needs to be done in confined spaces. This is because the equipment used is considerably smaller than what is used in other types of foundation creating. It is also ideal for use in more built up areas as it makes a lot less noise and vibrations. Don’t worry though, the foundations made are still as strong and secure.
Bottom Driven Piles
Bottom driven piles are a highly cost effective solution and are also better for the environment as they require much less concrete. The solution produces no spoil, thus making it perfect for use in areas with contaminated ground.
Driven piles are typically used in areas which have restrictions on the basis of having poor ground conditions, thus making regular deep foundations impractical.
The solutions sees metal tubes being driven deep down into the ground (2m – 6m) with a heavy internal drop hammer. Once in place, they are then filled up with concrete to form the pile.
We provide a range of piling solutions in and around the Crewe area.
